To be completely honest my writing routine would resemble someone with a serious eating disorder rather than someone who was calm, confident, and in control. And not because I would binge eat carbohydrates or chocolate (which did usually happen because of the stress)
But because I would “Binge Write”.
It looked a little something like this (maybe you can relate)...
...After intending to write, procrastinating, and felling guilting and anxious about procrastinating, I would finally devote an entire Saturday to nothing but writing. This would create some text on the page and alleviate the guilt, and the binge-writing cycle would start all over again. 🤦♂️
I lived with constant guilt and anxiety about how much I was NOT writing.
I always told myself… “I can’t find time to write”…and … “I would write more if I could just find big blocks of time.”
I would tell myself this all the time, probably because it’s comforting. It’s reassuring to believe that my circumstances are against me and that I would write a lot if only my schedule had a few more big chunks of time to devote to writing.
And my writer friends would usually be understanding and even be sympathetic because they have a hard time finding time to write, too!
But just because we can bask in the frustration together doesn’t mean we are helping each other.
I finally had to face the truth...
These chains that held me captive and prevented me from being a writer who actually writes had to be broken.
I would watch others around me publish blog post after blog post, book after book, and article after article…all the while I was still binge writing (and eating too many carbs)… trying to ‘find’ more time to write.
I was fed up, frustrated, and to be honest, sinking into a self-made depression.
My inability to write consistently was killing my self-esteem.
…Would I ever finish my work(s) in progress?
…Would I ever be remembered for anything?
…Would I ever be more than a “someday” writer?
…Would I end up with a lifetime of regret over words unwritten?
I decided to embark on a journey to discover “what was wrong with me” and why I had such a hard time putting words on a page.
Over the last 2 years I tried everything...
...I started with books on writing — lots of them.
...I spent countless hours reading, highlighting, taking notes, scratching my head, and making mmm hmmm sounds.
...I drilled successful authors for the secret to their successes
...I studied the routines of legendary creatives, artists, and thinkers like Benjamin Franklin, and Anthony Trollope (who wrote 63 books, Gah!)
...I took 4 different personality tests (I’m a type 3 on the Enneagram with a 5 wing)
...I researched the psychology behind procrastination, anxiety, fear, and regret
...I examined the biological response to stress and how the fight or flight response inhibits the ability of our pre-frontal cortex to think clearly (aka writer’s block)
...I booked an appointment with a hormone Dr. who put me through an extensive blood test so I could see exactly where my lack of energy came from.
...I changed my diet
...I increased my sleep time from 6 to 8 Hrs
...I started exercising
I did what everyone said I was supposed to do and yet I still had trouble getting words on a page and meeting my productivity goals.
Until out of utter desperation I stumbled across something so simple - so natural - so easy. It was right there all along…right under my nose.
This one simple strategy was THE ONLY thing that worked 100% of the time. Not sometimes….not 80/20…
There may be many reasons why you haven’t been able to write consistently or finish your book or work in progress but the main reason is the lack of accountability.
Accountability is what separates the super successful authors and full-time writers from the “someday” crowd.

A: Right now there are they are scheduled for every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday. There is a daytime writing session at 12:00 pm (noon) Eastern time and an evening writing session at 7:00 pm Eastern on each day. Each session is a group session and will be recorded and placed in the members' area where you can participate by watching the replay as well.
We may look into adding even more live writing days and time slots in the future.
A: While you are encouraged to attend at least one of the live weekly group writing sessions we understand that life gets in the way sometimes and for some, the live writing time doesn't work for their schedule. This doesn't mean you still can't reap the benefits of the group effort.
So here's the deal... each live writing session will be recorded. We encourage you to pick a time in your schedule that works for you and fire up the replay and write for 1 hour just as if you were doing it live. Use the included accountability progress tracking sheets and mark your progress. You'll still be counted as one who took action and just like that you'll start making progress and building a productive writing habit.
A: Because research proves that people don't value things they get for free. We need to have skin in the game. It's an important and well-thought-out element in the strategy to help you write more. We wanted to make the membership cheap enough that everyone could afford it but expensive enough that it would hurt if you wasted it and didn't participate.

A: You are billed automatically every 30 days. If you registered on the first day of the month your payment will be on or around the first of each month. If you registered initially on the 2nd of the month then your payment will be on or around the 2nd of each month and so forth.
A: No, it is not a requirement. However, we strongly encourage you to join our Facebook group so that you don’t miss out on the weekly training notifications, the community that you’ll find inside and the opportunity to ask and get your questions answered by the writers working alongside you.
A: Absolutely not. You are encouraged to use the writing time to move forward on any work in progress or any project that has previously lived in the "someday zone". Some suggestions include -- blog posts, video scripts, academic assignments, sermons, sales letters, you name it.
